Make room for the big things in your life first. After that there will be room for little things.
A rich man went to meet the sage. The sage was meditating. The man waited for a few hours and when the sage opened his eyes he went and stood in front of him. The sage looked at the rich man and asked, "What is the matter?" He asked.
The rich man replied, 'Swami .. I have a lot of wealth. I engaged in a lot of fun. But I did not have peace of mind and the love and affection of family. What can I do about it? ”
The sage got up without saying anything and entered his hut nearby. To the rich, the sadness of 'Sage left without saying anything' prevailed. But after a while the sage, emerging from inside the hut, came to the rich man.
The sage handed the bag to the rich man and said, "Fill this bag with all the big stones that are here."
According to the sage the bag was filled with all sorts of big big stones. When it became clear that not even a large stone could enter it, he came to the sage and showed him the bag.
Sage picked up the bag and picked up some of the small pebbles lying on the ground. Put it in the bag and shake it with a fork. The pebbles all went down into the gap between the large stones. On top of this there was a situation where even pebbles could not be put in the bag.
Then he took the soil off the ground and put it in the bag and shook it with a shake. The sand filled in the gaps between the large stones and the small pebbles. Sage agreed that now he could not put anything further into that bag.
Now the sage said to the rich man, "If the same bag had been filled with sand first, would there have been room to add large stones and pebbles?" That raised the question.
"It certainly would not have been," said the rich man.
Sage said the answer for the rich now. " Classic things like love, compassion, health, mental health that can enhance life are all like big stones. Wealth like work, house, car, like pebbles. Trivial things like entertainment and vain chat are like sand.
Make room for the big things in your life first. After that there will be room for little things. That is, if you spend your life on trivial things, there will be no room for important things. ” said.
Now that his mind was clear he left for home, rich.
